All readings are free and open to the public.

The Robert Burns statue is located at the intersection of Henry Johnson Blvd. and Hudson Ave. in the park. In case of rain the reading will take place the following Sunday at the same time and space.

Poets in the Park is a community arts project founded by Albanian poet/activist Tom Nattell in 1989. Its mission is to bring the voices of area poets to the public. This event is sponsored by the Poetry Motel Foundation and is hosted by Dan Wilcox. This summer marks the projects 18th season of presenting poets in the park. The Robert Burns statue was erected September 30, 1888 by Albany’s Scottish community to honor this peasant poet of freedom.
