POETRY AT LARKFEST
LARKFEST 2006
Albany Poets was a big part of the 2006 LARKfest. For the second year in a row, Albany Poets will be bringing poetry and spoken word to this annual event, celebrating its 25th year on Saturday, September 16, 2006.
For the first time at LARKfest, local poets Mary Panza, Rachel Zitomer, Thom Francis, The Poet Essence, and Alex Albano combined spoken word and music on the Hometown Stage in the Trinity Church Parking Lot on Lark Street.
There was also an all-day open mic between the music acts in the poetry tent right next to the Hometown Stage. Many poets stepped up to the mic throughout the day and shared their work.
