MELISSA FOSTER

DEVOURING

Sky dark ominous leering visions shift
Southern wind rustles the foliage one thing remains certain
Her aura that protrude through the darkness of night
In the mist of the rain
Through this abyss the light still shines from your eyes
Hearing your words
Soothing the savage cannibal of my soul

TROPHY

Continued silenced kills that which once ignited the fires within
Leering darkness creeps causing blackening to the soul
Frigid fingers burn through flesh
Numbing the nerves organs melt
Exception  the most precious incased petrified
Her name engraved
Laughing at which you hold
Throwing the key away
Ensuring no one shall ever have ownership again
Placing it upon your mantel to play with when you deem fit
Gazing blankly back awaiting the day when the silence takes it over
Not the dust that collects from neglect

HEARTS BALLAD

Staring off into the distance as stark raving madness takes hold
Where rubble surrounds echoing the loneliness
Rains no longer wash away
Truth in disheveled life left behind
Pieces no longer match up night serves all that which is lacking
Resonating rhythm gone the dance fini
Disturbing images fill a mind that is empty of knowledge
Believing you would be here forever
Cute for youthful fairy tales and nursery rhymes
Not for  reality of adulthood
