ADAM KRESS
POETRY
Neruda said it enveloped him
Amorphous
calling from the street
Jung said poets speak aloud,
what others only dream
Rising
From the crux of the soul
Taking their leave
Polarized emotions
Concentrated
Thoughts, Fears, Dreams
Pure Expression
Metaphorically Contemplating
The darkest human shadows,
Brightest spirits of mankind
This is how a poet spends his time
Mulling the unrationalizable,
Unknowable, Ineffable, Untellable
Belying expression,
And sometimes comprehension
Ordering the random,
Releasing the tension,
Personifying the euphoria,
ordinary words fail to mention
Healing wounds,
gaining redemption
This is… Poetry
FEMININE MYSTIQUE
His hands tenderly grasping her hips
Cascading Satin, Revealing Lace,
Effeminate, Intimate, Ambrosial
Body, Spirit, Lips
Rapture transcends embrace
Synesthetic, unconfined by time
Divine nourishing marrow
Mysterious feminine sublime
