Albany Poets is proud to present this truly innovative monthly series at Valentines. Albany Poets Presents is a brand new event series for poetry, spoken word, music, art, and more. Each month we will be featuring artists from the Albany area and beyond in order to support the arts. Albany Poets Presents brings a new formula to the arts community as it will not stick to the "open mic + feature" format. Each month will see something different.
Albany Poets Presents takes place on the first Tuesday of each month at Valentines, 17 New Scotland Ave, Albany. Doors open at 7:00PM, the show starts at 8:00PM. Admission is based on donation.

We are starting something new at Valentines on Tuesday, June 5 at our monthly open mic for poetry, music, and spoken word. Be sure to come and share your work and see what we are working on to make the show a little more interesting.
Sign up begins at 7:00PM, open mic starts at 8:00PM. There is a $3.00 suggested donation for this event.

POETRY, MUSIC, SPOKEN WORD OPEN MIC

We are back at Valentines for a night of poetry, music, and spoken word on Tuesday, February 6. Poets, musicians, and spoken word artists are all invited to come out and share their work at this monthly event series.
Open Mic sign up begins at 7:00PM. There is a $3.00 suggested donation for this event. All money collected at the event will go toward the upcoming 2007 Albany Word Fest.

OLD SCHOOL OPEN MIC

We are kicking of the new year with an old school open mic at Valentines. Poets, spoken word artists, are musicians all welcome to sign up and share their work.

We are starting our own tradition here at Albany Poets Presents with the first annual Airing of Grievances. Whatever is on your mind is fair game. Poets, musicians, spoken word artists, and everyone else is welcome to take the stage and clear the air.
